Ways of Training

Teaching Retreats

Our discipleship training is often delivered in the form of a ‘teaching retreat’. At a retreat session you can expect:

  • To receive quality teaching and resources
  • To take time for guided personal reflection
  • To discern in small groups / fellowship bands how God is leading you practically
  • To receive prayer and encouragement for taking the next steps.

Leadership Conversations

Our leadership training is commonly delivered in a more conversational format. At these conversations, you can expect:

  • To get high quality input from experienced leaders
  • To be engaged in discussion about the content throughout
  • To grapple with one’s own life of discipleship, and what it means to lead as an example and mentor for others
  • To discern and share in small groups / fellowship bands.

Introducing Inspire

“No matter how tired I have been going to these sessions I have always come away spiritually encouraged, refreshed and enthused to continue on in God’s mission wherever I am.”

“I feel more confident in who I am as a Christian but also as a leader in Christian ministry.”

“Using this format (fellowship band), and the ideas from Inspire has been the most formative and indeed inspiring ‘thing’ for want of a better word, that I have been part of for years.”

“Thanks so much for the teaching sessions this year. I found them inspirational and I love the discussion format – it really engages those present, and we learn so much more than listening to a talk. It is one of the few places that ministers get “fed” and so is very valuable to us”
