A Vision for Network of Fellowships

In 2022 the Lord gave Brian a vision for a network of home fellowships meeting across the state (of Oklahoma) or region. Each of these fellowships would have 12-15 persons of all ages committed to meet with each other once a week so that they “may spur one another on toward love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24). Regularly, these house fellowships would gather together in a “Sabbath meeting.” Within each house fellowship, fellowship bands would form where 3-4 persons would commit to meet with each other for a deeper level of accountability and discipleship.

Does that sound familiar?!

The vision the Lord gave Brian isn’t new. It can be found in the New Testament house churches, and it is how John Wesley organized the first Methodists into class meetings and bands. AND it is the vision the Lord gave us for the Inspire Movement to implement this model in the 21st century.

After a remarkable journey Brian is now an Inspire Missioner fundraising support with the goal of giving his full-time to Inspire ministry.

In January Brian planted the first house fellowship in Owassa, OK with his wife, Gail, and co-leaders Shawn and Gayle. They started out with meeting for table fellowship and to pray for the fellowships. Then in February they began a hybrid training with the Inspire School of Discipleship. They access resources on the School learning platform and then meet every other week online with a Missioner-Mentor for teaching, conversation and mentoring in the core practices of house fellowship. The weeks in between they meet in person to practice what they have learned together.

Please be praying for:

  • Brian and Gail as they step out in faith to follow the vision they have been given.
  • the leaders to continue following the Holy Spirit’s leading,
  • this house fellowship to have boldness in reaching their community with the love of Jesus,
  • the resources they need to implement God’s vision.
