Leap for Joy
Read
Luke 1: 39-45
Reflect
Both Mary and Elizabeth were carrying within them miracles! God treasures his children even before they are born: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb” Psalm 139:13 Before Jesus and John were born, the Spirit was upon them and they leapt for joy being in one another’s presence.
There is always a reason to rejoice, even in the midst of sorrow. Where there is joy there is strength, and where there is true joy, there is God. “Rejoice in all things, rejoice, REJOICE! I say it again rejoice” Philippians 4:4 The Bible is so filled with this attribute of God. Joy. The joy of the Lord gives strength, hope, life, peace.

Today’s promise
“The Lord is my Rock and my fort. He is the One who saves me. God is my Rock. I go to him for safety. He is like a shield to me. He is the power that saves me”. 2 Samuel 22:2-3
Pray
Jesus, you are my rock. You are strong when I am weak. You are my hope and light when all seems dark. You are my everything. Help me to show others, that your joy is my strength and your word my rock, my firm foundation. Amen
