John

Luke 1:57-65
Reflect
After 9 months Zechariah could speak again! With his new found voice he praised God.
If you hadn’t been able to speak for 9 months, what would be the first thing that you would say?
Why was it so important for John to be called John? Because it marked the fulfilment of God’s promise. Names are important, they represent who we are, they are the title of our story. Our name is how we are known, how we are remembered. God named him John. He chose his name, not so that he would be remembered because of his family, but because he was to be remembered for the great things that God would do through him.
Remember
Names of Jesus #12 ~ The Son of God
Today’s promise
‘Then the disciples worshiped Jesus. They said, “You really are the Son of God!”’ Matthew 14:33
Pray
Father God, thank you that when we don’t have the words pray, when we don’t know what to say, your Spirit intercedes for us. Amen
