“The world is my classroom” may not have been the exact turn of phrase John Wesley used, but it is the way in which Tammie understands her life’s calling as a teacher. A veteran teacher (and student) in the traditional classroom, she is nonetheless adamant that a vibrant life in Christ is found in discovering the grace abundant in everyday living. Tammie is an ordained deacon in North Carolina Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, with a passion for ministry to help people realise the authentic Christian life necessarily integrated, involving their whole heart, mind, soul and strength as they seek to be in love with God and their neighbour. She has a collection of degrees from Rutgers University (BS in Environmental Science), Asbury Theological Seminary (MDiv), Princeton Theological Seminary (ThM), and University of Manchester (PhD) where her research with Dr. Phil Meadows at Cliff College and Nazarene Theological College focused on practical theology in a thesis entitled Holy and Holistic Transformation: The Practice of Wesleyan Discipleship and Transformative Learning Theory.
