On Thursday 1 September we hosted an Inspire Prayer Gathering on Zoom. We were small in number but mighty in prayer! Scripture, insights, pictures and prayer were woven together in our sharing together.

Jeremiah 29: 10-13 (NIV)
This is what the Lord says: “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Vision and Insight
Seeds planted come to fruition, sometimes after a long time of waiting. Do not be discouraged. Sometime things seem slow but they are germinating unseen.
Prayers of Thanksgiving
Glory to Father who created the Inspire Movement.
Glory to the Son whose presence connects us with a remarkable network of people.
Glory to the Spirit who equips and encourages us to live radical lives as missional disciples

Matthew 7:7 (NIV)
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Vision and Insight
Picture of driving a car, not just steering but changing gears, breaking, etc. Like a group of things that complete all the different facets. The car is moving forward in a purposeful direction with all things working together. Use all the gifts and graces bestowed up on people. The destination we are steering to is God’s will.

This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. “
Prayers for the Inspire Movement Steering Group
We pray that we will be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit to raise up leaders in regions about the world in a growing sense of unity and family. May there be unity in the Movement as we move together for your glory Lord.
We pray for protection for the Steering Group. May they receive wisdom and vision and have courage to step up.
We pray for vision and grace for the direction to the Inspire Movement and that we are Movement that moves for God’s greater glory. We have been protected by our founders as over the years as they have given so much to grow the Movement. Help us to pick up the responsibilities and share the burden. Allow us to be partners in the Gospel with you, Lord.
We are in this together for God’s glory. May tired hearts and minds be put to one side. Give us wisdom, spoken and received. In all things Thy will be done.

Psalm 25:4-5 (NIV)
Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Saviour, and my hope is in you all day long.
Vision and Insight
- Let my/the Lord’s teaching draw people in.
- Speech and words are like dew, or a shower, on those who are seeking God.
- May our teaching be like the oil pouring down the beard of Aaron.
- When we stop learning we stop leading.
Prayers for the School of Discipleship
May Inspire teaching draw us together so that the speech and words will be like dew to shower on those seeking God. May the hungry be filled and thirsty refreshed.
We give thanks for Matt’s leadership and pray for Brian as he takes up the role of Dean of the School. Give Brain a blessing/anointing for the work.
Thank you Lord for the many relationships we have made through the School. Give us coverage to invite people to join courses.

Job 14: 7-9 (NIV)
At least there is hope for a tree: If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not fail. Its roots may grow old in the ground and its stump die in the soil, yet at the scent of water it will bud and put forth shoots like a plant.
Vision and Insight
There is hope for a tree if it is cut down. These verses are an imagery for Inspire. There are so many dead stumps in the world/church and Inspire is like the water that will come to replenish and renew.
Prayers for the Inspire Movement
We lift Inspire up for the glory of God and the continuation of community. Show your love and compassion, Lord, in the hearts and minds of all who connect with Inspire. Lord, you are glorified through our willingness to serve. May we be the water that renews and restores old stumps to show your glory. Raise up people to join in and be encouraged. Multiply the seeds that are sown. Multiply what you want to do, Lord. Use the School of Discipleship for your glory, Lord.

Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always, Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced, you his servants, the descendants of Israel, his chosen ones, the children of Jacob. He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth. He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations.
Vision and Insight

- Give us humble hearts to serve the Lord
- Equip us for this season to serve our Lord, Master, Saviour, Friend.
- Help us to be faithful as the Lord is faithful.
Prayers
We give thanks for the blessings of the Inspire networks, for the prayer group and the prayer gatherings. Thank you Lord for the burdens we have shared, for the answers to prayer, for the healings. We pray for more. Thank you for the presence of Jesus in people’s prayers. We pray for more – more prayer and more pray-ers. Lord, grow the prayer group so big that we have to divide.
Lord, sometimes it feels like you don’t know what you are doing but we know that you DO know what you are doing. Help us to trust in your faithfulness. Even when we don’t know what you are doing Lord or where you are leading, we hold fast to your promises. Help us to be wiling to follow you and take one step at a time as you show us the way.
