Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Could rescue the souls of men

Sunset over the Baltic Sea in Estonia – How glorious is the Lord!
How amazing are the deeds of the LORD! All who delight in him should ponder them. Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails. He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our LORD! Psalm 111:2-4 (NLT)
“And the glory, the glory of the Lord, shall be revealed…” Isaiah 40:5
Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom He gives.
Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.
Colossians 3:16 NLT
Thank you Lord for you are Good and you make everything beautiful. As the heavens are higher than the earth, your ways are higher than ours. Thank you for the sunshine; thank you for the limitless blue sky; the fresh drops of due softening the grass; a breath of fresh air; birds singing praise; intersecting paths which lead to different places and to people; thank you for houses of work, study and connections; thank you for a friend I could speak and pray with on my way to the campus; thank you for the calm and fervent presence of your Spirit’s work in quietness. Your silence is so dense than the noise within and around; oh! Let me dwell in you and in the beauty of your eternity at my doorstep. Oh how we long to dwell in your House all the days of our lives. Jesus my Lord fill us with your love and send your Spirit that our joy made complete doing our Father’s will for the day. Amen
Sometimes we do not know what words to use when we pray. We are so thankful when the Lord helps to inspire us through the words of others. Here are a few prayers that have been shared on the Inspire prayer group. We have left space for you to name people you are praying for.
“To God be the glory! Thank you, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the outpouring of Your Spirit! Please protect the flame that Your Spirit has ignited. Lead others to continue to fan it so that the work You did through the hands and hearts of [NAMES] continues to spread!”
“Lord let your Spirit flow through [NAME] as they preach and let your words be in their mouth that your name be glorified! Amen”
“Lord, in Your mercy, send Your holy armies to escort missionaries to closed countries safely to their destination. Guard and protect them during their stay, and give them the words, relationships, and spiritual gifts to bear fruit for Your kingdom and for the glory of Your name! Amen.”
“LORD, we pray for the healing of broken hearts.”
“Lord we pray for your children in Ukraine that you would keep them safe and that these terror weapons would cease. We know that only you can intervene & turn this hate into love for you. Isaiah 54;17. Amen”
“Lord, help [NAME]’s body to remember how You designed it to be whole! Protect them from infection and give them reassurance of Your presence along with the prayers being lifted on their behalf. Amen”
“Lord God Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth–You made the storm be still and calmed the waves of the sea among the people of Israel and with Jesus and his disciples. Pull back the waters, LORD, for the people affected by flooding. Command the waters to return to within their banks and make the water pure for drinking. Comfort the people and protect them from illness and injury. May they experience Your sovereign grace and mercy and be spared from any more flooding. I ask this in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen”
“Lord, bless these pregnant mums inside and out. Strengthen their bodies for the final months of pregnancy, for delivery, and the weeks and months of adjusting to a newborn. May the babies be blessed with all the right parts in all the right places with healthy lungs and hearts. And may the fathers be filled with a special tenderness and conviction for their roles as husband and father. Amen.”
Standing Against the Darkness
Jesus, you make me strong.
Help me to stand firm in you today.
Clothe me with your:
Helmet of salvation (put your hands on your head)
Breastplate of righteousness (put your hands on your heart)
Belt of Truth (put your hand around your waist)
Shoes of the Gospel (touch your toes)
Shield of Faith (hold your hands, palms out, in front of you)
Sword of the Spirit (put your hands together and open them like a book)
Cloak of Zeal (give yourself a hug)
And as I stand firm in you,
may my prayer cover the backs of my family and friends,
and their prayers cover me.
Aaaaamen (raise your hands in the air to worship Jesus)
Praying for Missioners
Inspire Missioners are on the frontline of the Movement. They are all involved in different ways and different contexts. They seek to live the way of life in all of their roles and responsibilities. As they share the Inspire vision for missional discipleship and work that out in many different ways, we see the Movement growing and the Kingdom coming. Please keep them all in your prayers.
Often serving Jesus is costly in more ways than we know. We are so thankful for all our Inspire Missioners in the many different ways they are serving and continue to pray for their protection.
It is always a joy and privilege to meet together with one another for prayer. And, as he promises, Jesus is with us whenever we gather. We are planning Inspire prayer gatherings to coincide with particular times of year. And EVERYONE is welcome to join us. Even if you can only join for a short time, or just want to come along to listen, we would love to have you with us.
- Wednesday 26 November
- Tuesday 4 March
- Monday 6 June
We meet on Zoom to enable us to connect with people from across the world-wide Inspire Movement. Contact the Prayer Coordinator for the Zoom link: [email protected]
