Prophetic Words and Prayers

Below are prayers, scriptures, and insights that people have sent us recently. We invite you to pray with us about what the Lord is saying to Inspire through these. As you pray make a note of what comes to your mind and pray again. If you feel the Lord is speaking to you about these or any other image, scriptures, prayers, then do please share them with us.

God the Father has filled our hearts yet again this morning with deep sense of nearness of His presence and confidence in His Love.  As I was still in the Lord with thankful heart He reminded me of:

  • A staff of Moses
  • A sling and one stone of David
  • One scarlet cord of Rahab
  • One dinner meal of Easter
  • Widow’s little oil in a jar and handful of flour
  • 5bread and 2 fish of a boy’s lunch box
  • Widow’s 2 coins in offering jar

The list goes on and on… Jesus said if you have a faith as small as mustard seed you will move the mountains.

Jesus is asking me what you have today? May it be used to Glorify Our Father in Heaven.

This is what I sensed from the Lord and wrote down in my journal on Friday fasting and prayer morning.

  • What are you saying Lord to the Inspire Movement as we prepare for the Annual Summit and envision for the coming year? Stay the course, enjoy Me, I am rejoicing over you, receive My love, remain in My love, you will remain in My love if you keep My commands and they are not burdensome, but rather they give life, life to the full and I will make your joy complete.
  • How are you inviting me Lord to join in with Your mission through Inspire? Plant
  • Where is the Spirit prompting me to be bold with Him in my local context? In House Fellowship exercise tongues and gifts. In local church call people out like Elijah, speak truth in love.

I felt like this maybe a word someone needs to hear from Jesus today:
“My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 2 Cor 12:9 NLT

The image above is a doodle shared by someone from their journal. They were pondering the way that the desert of Lent leads to the flowering of Easter which takes us to the glory of the Ascension and ignites the power of Pentecost.

[The Lord] heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Ps.147.3 (NIV)

“LORD, heal me and I will be completely well; rescue me and I will be perfectly safe. You are the one I praise!” Jeremiah 17:14. GNV

As I was asking the Father what He was saying about Inspire this morning I sensed the following:

“Truest of true. Perception is not always reality. Burying talents will bite you. Dig them up and put them to work for My Kingdom.”

The question I am asking is, Father what have I buried that You want me to dig up? What have we buried that You want us to dig up for our good and for Your glory?

Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
      Psalm 14: 5,6

Sometimes a verse pops up on my daily notification from the bible app that is so familiar I barely read it. And sometimes the Lord seems to put bright lights around it and suddenly it doesn’t seem so familiar. The Spirit speaks with fresh revelation. It makes me wonder how many times I have glanced at those notifications and not paused long enough for the Living Word to speak to me today. That is what happened today with this verse. The capital letters are the ones that leapt out to me today.

“But he was pierced for our REBELLION, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so WE COULD BE WHOLE. He was whipped so WE COULD BE HEALED” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Jesus, today I submit my rebellious spirit to you and seek your forgiveness for all the ways I deny the power the cross because I fail to claim the wholeness and healing that you have already won for me and those who turn to you. Amen.

I am in absolute awe that the God of all creation, the Lord of all life, would allow someone like me to be part of his work. I am humbled beyond description.

Elisabeth is four years old. She was pondering the other day, and she came to her mummy and told her an idea she’d had about God. She said that when God looks down from heaven, he sees our hurts like little holes, and he wants to stitch up the holes with his beautiful, colourful “heaven thread”, and that she wants to help him to stitch up hurts too.

Elisabeth and her Mummy made a picture to help her remember her “idea”, because it’s precious when God speaks to us.  Elisabeth was very brave and shared her idea at their fellowship community meal. And she wants to share it with you too.

Lord God, there are so many people in our Inspire family right now, or known to our family, that are suffering hurts. Some are so little we cannot see them in others. Some are so big we see them and we carry the burden together. Send your heavenly threads of love, joy, peace, healing, hope, grace… and stitch up the hurts through the power of your love and the witness of our Inspire fellowship communities. Amen

Thank you Jesus!! We are stitched by your crimson thread. No matter how small or big our hurts are, we all need your sewing thread to be embroidery design reflecting your glory. Amen

Sometimes we do not know what words to use when we pray. We are so thankful when the Lord helps to inspire us through the words of others. Here are a few prayers that have been shared on the Inspire prayer group. We have left space for you to name people you are praying for.

      • “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Amen.
      • LORD God, hear our prayers for [NAME]. I know You designed [NAME]’s body to be healthy and whole, so please banish every cancer cell from their body. May their family feel Your peace and may everyone around [NAME] recognize You as Healer through Jesus our Savior! Amen.
      • God of abundance, we come today empty, weak and broken. Only you can fill us and nothing else. We hear many things but we eagerly wait to hear our Good Shepherd’s voice. We weep and morn with our brothers and sisters, oh Lord only the Life giving Spirit can renew our hearts and world around us. Lord with your mercy make everything new. May our eyes see your skillful hardworking hands. Will you not forgive our sins and heal our land, we seek your face and turn from our wicked ways. Embrace us with your covenant of love. Thank you for reminding us that apart from you we can do nothing. We need you every moment we need you. Amen!!
      • Help [NAME] to trust in you to leave a place they call their own. Bring calmness and courage to leave to which seems scary because you go with us, and rather lead us in safety.  Thank you Lord you told us that you too have prepared a place for us. How amazing to know that you care so much. In Jesus’s name Amen.
      • Remembering all of you who constantly keep the flame and holding bowl of incense as prayers for each other. Your life and prayers help us all to understand the Spirit’s groaning in times of darkness, death and affliction. More than that they keep our sight on the fact that our war is not against flesh and blood. Your constant prayers lift our spirit and confidence in the ascended and exalted Lord who is the only mediator and advocate and who intercedes with you all. Your prayers and helping us to remember and to take part in our Lord’s battle. O Lord our Brother, thank you for sending the fullness of the Spirit that in our weakness and in times we when feel defeated in our bodies, your grace is sufficient and Your power is made perfect in all those who are always seeking you. We boast in our bodily weakness and foolishness because Lord Your power test on us and fills treasures in our earthen vessels.   Praying for all Inspire prayer warriors!! Amen
      • Jesus, thank you for [NAME]. You have come that [NAME] may have life and have it to the full. We agree with your prayer of life for [NAME]. We ask for your light to shine brightly and for your love to comfort this family supported by your everlasting arms. Praying in Your Name Lord Jesus. Amen.
      • Lord God be with [NAME]  and their family and especially put your loving arms around [NAME]. Hold them in your arms close to your heart so that they can feel their strength grow because of you. We know that there’s a season for everything. We know that you are the God over each of our seasons. Guide all of us and direct all of us to follow you every step of the way in Jesus name we pray. Amen.
      • We pray the prayers of our unstoppable God. Come, Holy Spirit! We thank you for how you are hovering over chaotic waters and we ask You to break through the darkness and grief with order and life. With a word You speak and light breaks forth. Let there be light. Let there be life. Let there be healing. Let there be wholeness. Let there be mourning. Let there be joy. Let there be overwhelming love. Amen.

      Praying for Missioners

Inspire Missioners are on the frontline of the Movement. They are all involved in different ways and different contexts. They seek to live the way of life in all of their roles and responsibilities. As they share the Inspire vision for missional discipleship and work that out in many different ways, we see the Movement growing and the Kingdom coming. Please keep them all in your prayers.

Often serving Jesus is costly in more ways than we know. We are so thankful for all our Inspire Missioners in the many different ways they are serving and continue to pray for their protection.

It is always a joy and privilege to meet together with one another for prayer. And, as he promises, Jesus is with us whenever we gather. We are planning Inspire prayer gatherings to coincide with particular times of year. And EVERYONE is welcome to join us. Even if you can only join for a short time, or just want to come along to listen, we would love to have you with us.
