For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,

Psalm 139:13-14
As I gazed at the image of a new baby developing in the womb, I felt the Spirit reminding me of the marvel of God’s creative power. And not just in the miracle of that baby. The power of the Spirit holds us in the Father’s presence from before we are born, throughout our lives and for all eternity. The whole of Psalm 139 is a testimony to the faithfulness of God. It reminds us who we are and whose we are; known from the inside out, and loved all the way down.
