The testimonies we receive from fellowship bands always point to the power of the Spirit at work. They reflect how the Spirit is at work generally in people’s lives, and sometimes include how the Lord has spoken to the person who shares the testimony.
This month it seemed like the power of prayer has been a particular focus.
“We pray in fellowship gathered. Then we hear the prayers of that fellowship, combined with the Spirit, whispered in our ears when we are scattered.”
“Prayers are not just for the moment, because the Spirit inspires people as they pray and continues to intercede with us as we move on.”
“Praying in fellowship become a marker on a journey in prayer together with the Holy Spirit. Like a way mark or cairn on a long walk they keep us on the Way.”
“Every time we gather we pray:
God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
If we walk in the light, as he is in the light.
We have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just.
He will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
(1John 5,7,9)”
“We have been rescued from the kingdom darkness and brought into the kingdom Light, the Kingdom of Jesus. Fellowship Band is where we find the fullness of that promise and stand firm together against the temptation to be pulled back into the darkness. Fellowship is our sanctuary, out of which we grow as missional disciples who are sent out on a ‘rescue mission’ to bring people into the Kingdom of Light.”
