Reflect
The Magi showed up at the wrong house! If you were expecting to find a king where would you look? It would have taken the Magi a long time to reach Jerusalem, only to find that they King they were looking for wasn’t in the palace. King Herod was called Herod the Great, however he was far from great! He was a mean, tyrannical ruler and paranoid man. One of his greatest fears was that someone would try and take his throne, he even executed three of his own sons, so not to be usurped!
How do you think Herod felt when some Magi came to him, to tell him about the new King of the Jews? How do you think those around Herod, who knew his character, felt? Worried?!

Good Jesus, I am your sheep. Help me to hear your voice. Thank you for always leading and guiding me. Show me the way I need to go today, just like the Magi. Amen.
