With carol concerts cancelled and Christmas under restrictions in so many ways, the Free Methodist Church in Frodsham, England wanted to bring the story of Christmas alive for people. So they decided to share Jesus in an outdoor real life nativity.
They set up stations around the church car park, all appropriately spaced out, to tell the Christmas story as people walked through. People had to register to attend and start times were staggered.
Here is how they journeyed to the stable:
Walk this way…
…Start with your smiling face in the angel…
The angel points the way to the Shepherds sat by the fire…
…telling their story whilst toasting marshmallows…
… and directing them onwards…
… to the tent of the Kings where they made crowns…
… and heard the Magi’s story next to the big camel…
… then they lit a sparkler to follow the star to the manger …
… to be a part of the nativity scene as a family before heading home with a Christmas gift.
