Prayer and Reflections from Ireland

Dear Father God

We have reached the middle of the summer; the hinging point of the year, and hopefully the point where we turn the corner of the corona virus pandemic. Although, we are perturbed by the uncertainties in the world of climate change, the health crisis and the political uncertainty across the globe, help us to draw strength from the certainty of your love and the steadfastness of your presence in our lives.

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to thy name, O Most High; to declare thy steadfast love in the morning and thy faithfulness by night. Psalm 92

Amen

We had a long spell of lovely spring and summer weather in Ireland, and yet as the drought set in, we as farmers got restless and yearned for rain. We now have plenty of rain and changeable weather …. and we hope for things to settle down.

Life too is like this; continually changing, presenting us with new challenges, making us restless, sometimes upset and sometimes in despair. But if we put our trust in Jesus and our father God who is constant and not fickle from day to day, we will find comfort in the certainty of his love.

Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. Hebrews 13:5

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:20
